Background[edit]

The Battlestar Valkyrie is a type of Battlestar that would prove popular in the years following the First Cylon War.

It's small frame is heavily armed, allowing for a highly manuvrable artillery package. However, this firepower comes at the cost of a decreased armour profile particulary on it's ventral underside, where sections of its FTL drive remain exposed.

Gameplay[edit]

The Valkyrie class[1] Battlestar was introduced to the game Battlestar Galactica Deadlock through the final DLC (Downloadable content) titled "Modern Ship Pack." This expansion adds six ships to the game that are featured heavily in the 2004 "reimagined" television series. As such, the Valkyrie class Battlestar is only accessible through skirmish, multiplayer and Operation Anabasis. The Valkyrie class is not accessible in the campaign mode.

Notes[edit]

Josiah Ward modeled the entire 3D asset of the Valkyrie class for the Battlestar Galactica Deadlock game at Black Lab Games In 2019[2].
