Galactica (TOS) and Pegasus (RDM) Comparison Images
I edited the images myself, the Pegasus was taken from a screenshot of the Pegasus (210) preview video at SciFi.com/battlestar, and the image of the Galactica was taken from BattlestarGalactica.com.

The new design was somewhat of a cross between the look of the old class battlestars, and yet with elements of the new one..Aside from that, it has mostly hull plating (to absorb more damage) , as opposed to the Galactica which has more ribbing...
The harder edges were intentional as well, to match the interior style of the sets more.

ZOIC interview
There's a new ZOIC interview over at battlestargalactica-online, which provides some more canonical information about the ship designs in Battlestar Galactica. Although, they refuse to confirm, directly, whether Serenity or a Constitution Class Enterprise appeared in the BSG miniseries

Non-Canonical scifi.com/battlestar Information
The recent RTF ship updates by Eyrezer have me puzzled. Are we not avoiding the use of scifi.com info for the site, because it has proven false in the past? --Mason 23:23, 6 December 2005 (EST)
- I'm not entirely thrilled with it, but those ships can all be seen on-screen in background shots. We've actually used scifi as a (tentative) reference on occasion, particularly when they were still keeping track of Vipers back in season one. Interesting "Real World" Trivia
I can't figure out what section the following bit of trivia should fall under.
On the NBC announcement of Battlestar Galactica's availability for download in the Apple iTunes Music Store:

- I agree, I think a new article would be a good idea, for although we clarify and index canonical information from the show, I think it would also be worthwhile compiling the history of its process of production and renewal. For instance, the SciFi Network was reluctant to air the first season in the United States, and it was only after SkyOne aired season one in the United Kingdom, and massive online file-sharing of those episodes, that the SciFi Network was convinced of Battlestar Galactica's success, and renewed it for a second season. I believe Ron Moore made a plea on his blog asking viewers not to steal the show, online. I suggest that information of this kind be collected in an article entitled Battlestar Galactica(RDM) Production History. I think there is enough official material (podcasts, Ron Moore's Blog, DVD commentaries and featurettes) that this information can be included into the wiki under its current guidelines. I would discourage public news article contributions unless they contain quotes. --Mason 10:04, 8 December 2005 (EST)
