Has it been clearly established that this is the only refinery ship in the fleet? If so, it should be merged with Refinery ship. --April Arcus 01:34, 21 January 2006 (EST)

It has not as of yet. We can merge the two anyway, since the info is the same. --Joemc72 01:37, 21 January 2006 (EST)
If there's more than one ship, we should keep them separate. I definitely heard Apollo refer to it as "a tylium refinery", not "the tylium refinery" (which doesn't settle it, but isn't good evidence for there being only one), so we should probably hold off on a merge. --April Arcus 15:22, 21 January 2006 (EST)
There is also the scene in the brig where Roslin mentions "our tylium refinery", as opposed to "one of our tylium refineries." Again, kind of vague but it could indicate that it's the only one. Joemc72 12:27, 25 January 2006 (EST)

Dirty Hands

I already brought this up on Refinery ship but got no response so far. Maybe it was lost in the many edits. Does anyone agree, that "Dirty Hands" more or less confirms that there is only one refinery ship? They say "the refinery" and if there were others, the strike probably wouldn't be such a big issue. Combined with the other singular references in the series, I'd like to to combine the article and redirect "refinery ship" to here. --Serenity 15:15, 26 February 2007 (CST)

Barring a retcon by the writers, I believe a merge and redirect is in order. It's clearly apparent to me that there's only one tylium refinery, and that's the Daru Mozu. -- Joe Beaudoin So say we all - Donate 15:31, 26 February 2007 (CST)

Hitei Kan...

Ok, having read the script for "Dirty Hands" and seen various reference drawings for that episode, the ship is identified as the Hitei Kan. Since this is the case, clearly the Daru Mozu has been either retconned as the Hitei Kan or the Kan is simply the only surviving tylium refinery in the Fleet. Either way, the events of "Dirty Hands" take place there and the corrections should be noted. -- Joe Beaudoin So say we all - Donate - Battlestar Pegasus 06:37, 18 August 2008 (UTC)

If they wanted to establish that so clearly they should have said it in the episode. There is also the case of the dubbing of one of Roslin's that clearly refers to the ship. In any case what's written in the script isn't necessarily what ends up on screen. Sometimes by design. There have been enough cases where the producers very deliberately changed things in post production for one reason or another.
This should probably be noted, but I think a footnote that points out the contradiction is enough. I wouldn't change the main text. -- Serenity 14:17, 18 August 2008 (UTC)
True. However, let's just say they do note it in dialogue for a future episode, which is what prompted this in the first place. -- Joe Beaudoin So say we all - Donate - Battlestar Pegasus 14:41, 18 August 2008 (UTC)
Not to mention the fact that Tyrol calls the ship the Hitei Kan in a deleted scene. It's the second deleted scene on the Season 3 R1 discs. ;-) -- Joe Beaudoin So say we all - Donate - Battlestar Pegasus 21:55, 18 August 2008 (UTC)
Mhh, ok. True :( -- Serenity 23:23, 18 August 2008 (UTC)
