It's reasonable to assume the Renner no longer held the position of X.O. following the events of "The Captain's Hand", since Lee was dispatched to Pegasus to replace him. Shaw would have been scouted subsequently, then probably retired to New Caprica later in the year, prompting Dualla's promotion to the position. --April Arcus 15:28, 7 August 2007 (CDT)
- Lee wasn't officially the Pegasus XO. In the aired version it's unclear, but he's just sent there to keep an eye on Garner and assess things, but according to another deleted scene, his father is still thinking about giving him the job. It's just that we never acknowledge Renner elsewhere - like on Executive officer - but that's probably for the better.
- Assuming that the scene is canon (and overlooking the Trammel thing), one could also say that Lee looks for another XO, because Renner seems to dislike him. --Serenity 15:35, 7 August 2007 (CDT)
- The whole Renner thing may simply be ignored by the writers, as it never made the final cut of the episode.
