What type of category should comics have?--The Merovingian (C - E) 13:33, 30 March 2006 (CST)

I think they should be separate from books, but I'm content to leave them here in the short term. --April Arcus 14:10, 30 March 2006 (CST)
Perhaps it should just be renamed to "print" or something similar instead of splitting it?
--Mercifull 14:26, 30 March 2006 (CST)
I don't think so. Comics and novels are fundamentally different in several important ways:
  • Comics are both a visual and a written medium; novels are purely written.
  • Comics typically present short installments of story arcs, novels are typically longer and self-contained
  • Comics have numerous authorship credits, including writing, pencils, inks, colors and letters; novels typically have at most two authors who share credit equally.
Additionally, "Print" as a category is in some ways too broad - it would include non-continuity works like the complete guides and magazine issues. --April Arcus 14:58, 30 March 2006 (CST)
Unless "Print" was a parent cat to the books, comics, magazines, etc categories. --Steelviper 15:04, 30 March 2006 (CST)
That would be logical, and probably harmless, but I'm hard pressed to see the need for such a category. --April Arcus 15:10, 30 March 2006 (CST)

I'm scavenging this stuff from all over the internet, and it may not all be reliable. Unfortunatley, our citation system doesn't work within templates, so I'm noting it here.

Co-author Glen A. Larson

Is Glen A. Larson co-author to all of the BSG Berkley Books? DrWho42 21:58, 27 February 2008 (CST)

He's credited, but he never wrote a word of them. It was usually his "co-writer" Robert Thurston (or another) who did all the work. -- Joe Beaudoin So say we all - Donate - Battlestar Pegasus 22:09, 27 February 2008 (CST)
