Siress Tinia was a member of the Quorum during the Eastern Alliance situation. She was assigned to Adama for the short-term as a Quorum representative. In her capacity, she had the power to overrule Adama on any command decision concerning the Fleet and any variety encounters.

Tinia is, unlike her other peers, an intelligent and tries to see the good in people, but has the tendency to brush people (like Colonel Tigh) the wrong way. Tigh didn't like her, and found ways around her threat about taking his "fresh air" anywhere near the docking bay using the air of curiosity to get Starbuck and Apollo to find out what was happening.

However, when Baltar, the trio of Borellian Nomen, and Leiter's Alliance officers took over the landing bay and all within she agreed to military action. Admitting she was wrong, she suggested a course of action. When Adama vied for another centare to get the Cylons operational for Baltar's ship, she bravely accompanied him. Although the Alliance ship and the Nomen had escaped, the situation was ended and the prisoners were saved.

Tinia was relieved of her position as Quorum advisor to Commander Adama. Although Tinia evidently fancied Adama, making Tigh want to order grog... (Baltar's Escape)
