Types

Right now, we have PAL, NTSC, iTunes, HDTV and DVD. What are we gonna do with, say, the German airdates? They're in PAL, as are the UK ones... --Catrope(Talk to me or e-mail me) 01:27, 4 May 2007 (CDT)

Right now the "look" isn't even done. Right now I did something as an example. Once we really implement this, the "table" will look a lot cleaner. Shane (T - C - E) 01:42, 4 May 2007 (CDT)
OK. Just saying that we're likely to have to change PAL and NTSC to US and UK respectively. FWIW, I also implemented the DVD field; it does of course require that you set title to something like "Battlestar Galactica - Season 2.0 (Region 1 DVD)" or similar. --Catrope(Talk to me or e-mail me) 01:45, 4 May 2007 (CDT)
The DVD field is tricky. I gotta find our working example. Shane (T - C - E) 01:46, 4 May 2007 (CDT)
Template:Season 2.0 NTSC DVD release date? --Catrope(Talk to me or e-mail me) 01:48, 4 May 2007 (CDT)
Yeah. That template is just on all the release date things, but I added the dvdtype field. Shane (T - C - E) 01:49, 4 May 2007 (CDT)
Good one. On a related note, the episode guides currently use Template:Season 2.0 NTSC DVD release date, but BW:FRL uses links to Template:Scattered NTSC DVD release date etc. All ten are identical and just taking up space completely useless IMO. Mass purge? --Catrope(Talk to me or e-mail me) 01:52, 4 May 2007 (CDT)
No idea what you mean. Do one example and then I will see what you mean. Shane (T - C - E) 01:55, 4 May 2007 (CDT)
If you install my javascript.. like what I did with April for only temporary, youc can see it with the javascript enabled. Shane (T - C - E) 02:06, 4 May 2007 (CDT)
Done. I see the [show]/[hide] thingies in the second example now. Is that all the JS enables or is there more I haven't discovered yet? Also, to clarify. Look at Special:Whatlinkshere/Template:Scattered NTSC DVD release date and realize its uselessness. In the same fashion, we also have Template:Valley of Darkness NTSC DVD release date through Template:Pegasus NTSC DVD release date, all with identical content and identical uselessness. --Catrope(Talk to me or e-mail me) 02:24, 4 May 2007 (CDT)
Ok. Don't do a "mass purge" to a "mass redirect" to the correct template. So the data stayies the same -- we still need these types of template of the Media wiki as they are intergrated into the Image tagging system. Shane (T - C - E) 02:27, 4 May 2007 (CDT)
OK, will do a mass redir then. Not that I have the rights to do a mass purge... I don't quite get how Template:Scattered NTSC DVD release date is required by the Image tagging system, but I guess that's another story. --Catrope(Talk to me or e-mail me) 02:42, 4 May 2007 (CDT)
It appears someone else has already done it: rather than redirecting, "Scattered" just transcludes "Season 2". --Catrope(Talk to me or e-mail me) 02:45, 4 May 2007 (CDT)
Hostly, there is no way to explain what it is. We would have to talk over gtalk to understand what I did over at the media wiki -- Template:NTSC_broadcast_screencap is quite a feat started by April and I approved on their design which was quiet smart. Shane (T - C - E) 02:55, 4 May 2007 (CDT)
Not that important, really. And I don't have GTalk :P Meanwhile, any ideas on how to implement the countrycode thing? Or do you need some sleep first? ;) --Catrope(Talk to me or e-mail me) 03:03, 4 May 2007 (CDT)
Yes I do. April going to share that idea once they get back. But I know it's going to take of rename the existing template annd added the code somewhere in the template itself. :-) Shane (T - C - E) 03:10, 4 May 2007 (CDT)
