Cadet Shields was a novice Viper pilot who accompanied Starbuck and Boomer on patrol near Quadrant Epsilon. He was terminated by the Ravishol Pulsar upon attempting to destroy it from air, however his flight partner, Cadet Cree, was forced down by a phalanx of Cylon raiders. (Gun on Ice Planet Zero)
