Cadet Shields was a novice Viper pilot who accompanied Starbuck and Boomer on patrol near Quadrant Epsilon. He was terminated by the Ravishol Pulsar upon attempting to destroy it from air; though his flight partner, Cadet Cree, was forced down by a phalanx of Cylon raiders. (Gun on Ice Planet Zero)
