Medal of Valor

The Medal of Distinction is a decoration in the Colonial Fleet.
Given that it is worn on a ribbon around the neck and comes with a written commendation, it is likely one of the highest Colonial medals for valor in combat. Like the the Medal of Distinction, it is a version of the Colonial emblem.
Socrata Thrace was awarded this medal during her career in the Colonial Marine Corps, possibly during the first Cylon War (Maelstrom).
Notes
- The medal may be intended to be analogous to the American Medal of Honor; the country's highest military decoration.
