The Diana was a Gemenese civilian transport in operation during the First Cylon War. The Diana, along with her military escort were destroyed in an ambush by the Cylons, and 50 of her passengers and crew were captured. The survivors were sent to the Cylon lab on the ice planet, where they were subjected to inhumane experiments, in which nearly all were killed.

Only two survivors remain when young William Adama parachutes into the Cylon lab after Operation Raptor Talon. He musters all his strength to pry open the door to free the last two prisoners, but he cannot open it enough for them to escape. He is forced to abandon them when the facillity begins to collapse (Razor Flashbacks, Episode 6).
