The battlestar Atlantia is the flagship of the Colonial Fleet in the Re-imagined Series and the Original Series.

Re-imagined Series

The Atlantia was one of about 120 Battlestars in the Colonial fleet. It was mentioned once in the Miniseries and once in the second season. At the time of the Cylon attack, it served as the flagship for Admiral Nagala, who assumed control of the fleet after the Picon Fleet Headquarters were destroyed. In the miniseries novelization, it mentions that Atlantia was a newer Battlestar, much like the Pegasus. Unfortunately, it was destroyed whilst participating in a battle forming up in the orbit of Virgon. One can assume that it was in posession of the Command Navigation Program developed by Gaius Baltar and sabotaged with exploitable back-doors by Caprica-Six. Admiral Adama is said to have made his 1,000th landing on Atlantia, and Galen Tyrol served aboard it before comming to Galactica. The novelization states that Lee Adama served aboard her before the attack. This statement might not be true, due to novelizations not being considered canon.

The Original Series

Battlestar Atlantia

Atlantia is where the Quorum of Twelve meet in anticipation of the coming treaty between humanity and the Cylons that will bring to an end the Thousand-Yahren War.

Atlantia is destroyed when the treaty rendezvous at Cimtar becomes a trap, along with three of the remaining battlestars of the Colonial fleet, with only Galactica surviving to fend off the Cylons (Saga of a Star World).
