Raptors Jumping into the canyon

Breeder's Canyon is a natural landmark on New Caprica.

It was carved out by a shallow, winding river that flows through the center of the valley. Surrounding the river is a forest containing numerous trees and shrubs. The greenery continues up the canyon walls until the peaks of the rocks, which appear to be barren sandstone. From Tyrol's comments, Breeder's Canyon is apparently a long distance to walk from New Caprica City.

This canyon's riverbanks is selected as the rendezvous point between Galactica's Raptor team led by new officer Sharon Agathon, and the New Caprica insurgency led by Samuel Anders.

After Ellen Tigh tips off the Cylons in an effort to save her husband from further persecution, Cylon Centurions ambush the united team as they planned, taking the lives of a few insurgents.

A quasi-road that leads to Breeder's Canyon is used by New Caprica Police transports to ferry suspected insurgents to execution. Cally Tyrol, part of the group but freed by Jammer, escapes into a dell heavy in trees and runs along the river (Precipice).
