Following the [[Battle of Gamoray]], ''{{alt|Pegasus|TOS}}'' escapes via a lightspeed maneuver with Cain and his crew surviving the encounter, unbeknownst to ''{{alt|Galactica|TOS}}''.
Upon her return to ''Pegasus'', Sheba finds a great many things have changed. Upon confronting her father on this and his willingness to readily trust [[Kali|an outsider]]—the member of the very race that created their sworn enemy—Cain jails his own daughter, informing the crew that she is a threat to the ship ({{comics|vs|5}}).

Two [[sectar]]es following Gamoray, he considers transferring command of ''Pegasus'' over to [[Iollas]], his long-time friend of thirty [[yahren]]s and executive officer, as he misses {{alt|Sheba||his daughter}} deeply.

He abandons that idea following the transmission from the last known living {{alt|Cylon|TOS}} woman, [[Kali]], and leads a small team to [[Kali's planet|the interior of the hollow planetoid]] ({{comics|vs|1}}).

While separated from his security detail after landing on the planet, he speaks to Kali and {{alt|Iblis||encounters a man}} who pistol-whips him unconscious. It is after he regains consciousness that he is "convinced" to heed Kali's every word by this same entity ({{comics|vs|1}} & {{comics|vs|5|short=y}}).

As such, Cain finds himself executing upon decisions that he would not normally make, including jailing his own daughter, {{alt|Sheba}}, after she questions his actions ({{comics|vs|5}}).

Following Sheba's escape from the brig, she makes her way to ''Pegasus''<nowiki>'s</nowiki> bridge finding that the battlestar has opened fire on the two ''[[Galactica]]s''. Kali's control over Cain is broken when she shoots Sheba, dying in Cain's arms. In retaliation, Cain breaks Kali's neck, and orders all hands abandon ''Pegasus''. With great anger and shame over what he he allowed to happen, Cain destroys the {{alt|basestar|RDM}} that Iblis commands by ramming ''Pegasus'' into it—joining Sheba in death ({{comics|vs|6}}).

Artist Edu Menna's take on Sheba in Battlestar Galactica vs. Battlestar Galactica #6.

Upon her return to Pegasus, Sheba finds a great many things have changed. Upon confronting her father on this and his willingness to readily trust an outsider—the member of the very race that created their sworn enemy—Cain jails his own daughter, informing the crew that she is a threat to the ship (Battlestar Galactica vs. Battlestar Galactica #5).

Following Sheba's escape from the brig, she makes her way to Pegasus's bridge finding that the battlestar has opened fire on the two Galacticas. Kali's control over Cain is broken when she shoots Sheba, dying in Cain's arms. In retaliation, Cain breaks Kali's neck, and orders all hands abandon Pegasus. With great anger and shame over what he he allowed to happen, Cain destroys the basestar that Iblis commands by ramming Pegasus into it—joining Sheba in death (Battlestar Galactica vs. Battlestar Galactica #6).

Notes[edit]

Sheba's appearance changes mid-way through Battlestar Galactica vs. Battlestar Galactica series, as Edu Menna completed the back-half of the six issue series from Johnny Desjardins.
